Monday - Developing Client Plans

I always look forward to Mondays. Deep work is generally how I spend much of my day. Because of this, I never book meetings on Monday unless it’s critical. But I do make myself accessible to my team and clients if there are urgent inquiries. Mondays set the tone for the rest of the week. As a result, it’s important that I approach it with optimism, ambition and establishing a sense of purpose.

It’s a new day. But today isn’t any different from everyone else’s. It’s safe to say that all of our days at Statement are never going to be the same. That said, I have a feeling everyone says that now. The truth is: there are pros and cons to that, of course. I elaborate on this in my blog, A CEO WHO TAKES THE HIGH ROAD.

But what is it about Mondays that make them so special to me? Follow along!

5:30 A.M - RISE AND REFLECT

Start the day with meditation, embracing early mornings for focused introspection. My CPAP-assisted sleep ensures a refreshed start. As well, my flexible routine allows for a seamless blend of personal well-being and professional readiness.

6:00 A.M. - WORK PREP AND ADAPTABILITY

Prioritize high-impact tasks: contract reviews, financial reports and strategic project overviews. Navigate creative and technical projects with attention to detail. Flexibility rules as plans shift, emphasizing adaptability in the work routine.

7:00 A.M. - BREAKFAST, BRIEFS AND ORGANIZATION

Engage in morning rituals: breakfast, news and email management. Leverage this quiet hour to organize, address lingering tasks, and craft briefing notes for efficient client meetings. Setting the tone for a productive day.

8:00 A.M. - STRATEGIC BREAK AND TEAM CONNECTION

Take a break with a dog walk, fostering work-life balance. Connect with a friend during the stroll, emphasizing the significance of a robust support system. Reflect on daily goals, ensuring a mental reset before returning to work.

9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. - STRATEGY SESSION

Engage in a crucial meeting with the director, shaping corporate objectives and strategizing new business opportunities. Lay the groundwork for key metrics and discuss targets for an upcoming project launch. Align on divisional goals.

NOON TO 2:00 P.M. - MIDDAY FOCUS

Navigate the midday grind, handling emails, client projects and pitches. Evaluate the appropriateness of a coffee break but opt for water. Prioritize client commitments and delve into tasks that demand immediate attention.

3:00 P.M. TO 4:00 P.M. - AFTERNOON PUSH

Handling emails, client projects and pitches. Evaluate the appropriateness of a coffee break but opt for water. Prioritize client commitments and delve into tasks that demand immediate attention.

5:00 P.M. - ENERGIZING WORKOUT

As the afternoon progresses, I take a break from the professional demands at 5:00 p.m. to engage in an invigorating workout session. I recognize the importance of physical activity for holistic well-being, and this dedicated time serves as a transition from my intense workday to an opportunity for personal wellness.

Whether it's a gym session, a run outdoors or a focused home workout routine, this deliberate commitment to physical fitness not only boosts my energy levels but also reinforces the idea that a healthy mind and body are integral components of sustained professional success. My workout serves as a powerful reset, allowing for renewed focus and vitality in the remaining hours of the day.

9:00 P.M. - EVEN REFLECTION AND REST

Wind down with a light yoga session and dive into a captivating book, offering a mental break. Despite the spinning ideas, prioritize rest for sustained performance. Acknowledge the importance of relaxation for holistic well-being.
